Media Attachment Unit Base (1C31206) – Diese Base fasst maximal zwei Module und bietet einen Anschluss für das AUI-Kabel, das PCRR und Attachment Unit Module verbindet. Die Backplane versorgt die Attachment Unit Module mit +24 V zur Stromversorgung. Sie dient außerdem als lokaler E/A-Bus-Abschluss.
Daher sind am Ende von Zweigen, an denen Media Attachment Unit-Module platziert werden, keine E/A-Zweigabschlussplatinen erforderlich.
